Chemical Security Risk Assessment Workshop
Sandia National Laboratories, in collaboration with Ministry Foreign Affairs Pakistan and Chemical Engineering Department UET Lahore sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Chemical Security Program (CSP), has organized a three-day, in-person workshop on chemical security risk assessment at Chemical Engineering Department UET Lahore!
The total 80 number of students of chemical engineering main Campus , New Campus and chemistry Department along with faculty members attended the workshop.
Participants were engaged in hands-on activities, case studies, and presentations on crucial topics such as material control and accountability, physical security, information security, and personnel reliability. This workshop was designed to equip participants with the skills needed to assess chemical security risks and apply them at their respective facilities.
Dr Andrew Nelson , Dr Marry Beth Mulchy, Dr Christine Straut, Ms Saima Shezad, Lt Col Naveed Alam, Mr Shahubdin and Dr Naveed Ramzan were the resource persons. Prof Dr Nasir Hazat Vice Chancellor UET Lahore was the chief guest in the certificate distribution ceremony. The Vice Chancellor thanked the resource persons from Sandia National Laboratory , MoFA Pakistan and appreciated the efforts of Chairman Chemical Engineering Dr Hafiz Zaheer Aslam and Dr Naveed Ramzan for making the local arrangements in the department for making the event successful
