The newly renovated Public Relations Office (PRO) of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore was inaugurated today by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz). Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Hayat, Public Relations Officer Dr. Tanveer Qasim, Deans, Registrar, Director of Student Affairs, and other staff members were also present on the occasion.

Following the inauguration, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir held a meeting with the Registrar and faculty members to discuss plans for the expansion of the office and an increase in staff. At this occasion, Dr. Shahid Munir emphasized that this initiative is a significant step towards strengthening the university's public relations capabilities and improving its internal and external communication systems.

He highlighted that an efficient Public Relations Office equipped with modern resources and professional expertise would further enhance the university's reputation. This development reflects UET Lahore's commitment to continuous growth and the enhancement of educational standards. Participants appreciated the initiative, calling it a positive step for the university. Considering the importance of new media (social and digital media), the functionality of the PR office has become indispensable, says Dr. Munir. It is worth mentioning that the reconstruction amd renovation of the PR office was made possible with the support of UET alumni.
