The Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) successfully organized an interactive session titled “Product to Profit: Commercialization of Innovative Solutions” on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the Vice Chancellor’s Conference Room.

 

The session featured Prof. Dr. Shakeel Sadiq Jajja as the resource person, who shared his expertise on transforming innovative ideas into commercially viable products. Faculty members from various departments actively participated, raising questions about challenges faced during product commercialization and industrial collaboration.

 

Prof. Dr. Sayyed Mohsin Ali Kazmi, Director ORIC, along with his dedicated team, managed the entire session proactively. He encouraged faculty members to engage with the resource person and seek clarity on concepts related to commercialization strategies.

 

During the discussion, participants highlighted real-world issues encountered while engaging with industry partners, seeking practical solutions to bridge the gap between academia and industry. The Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of entrepreneurial thinking and cited examples of renowned Pakistani personalities, including successful UET alumni who have made their mark as entrepreneurs and business leaders. He urged faculty to foster innovation that leads to impactful commercialization.

 

The session concluded with the Vice Chancellor presenting a souvenir to Prof. Dr. Shakeel Sadiq Jajja in recognition of his valuable contribution.
