Panel Discussion at UET Lahore Marks Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2025
The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore organized an engaging Panel Discussion in collaboration with the UET Media Society and UET Literary Society in connection with Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2025.
The session, held under the presidency of Dr. Rana Tanveer Qasim, Media Advisor and Public Relations Officer of UET Lahore, took place in the Library Conference Room and brought together students and society members for a thought-provoking dialogue on the importance of media awareness and responsible information consumption in the digital age.
During the discussion, participants emphasized the critical need for developing media literacy skills to counter misinformation, promote ethical journalism, and enhance critical thinking among youth. The panel also highlighted the role of academic institutions in equipping students with the tools to navigate today’s complex media landscape.
