One-Day Training Workshop on “Benchmarking Self-Assessment on HEC Program Review for Effectiveness & Enhancement (PREE)”

The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), UET Lahore, successfully organized a one-day training workshop on 31st October 2025 for program team members involved in preparing Self-Assessment Reports (SARs).

 

The session commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a welcoming address from Prof. Dr. Amer Aziz, Director QEC, who highlighted the objectives and importance of the workshop. Dr. Irfan Jalees, the resource person, conducted an informative and interactive session, elaborating on the core principles, structure, and implementation approach of the HEC PREE framework. Prof. Dr. Aneela Anwar, a committee member, shared her valuable insights on the session and offered thoughtful remarks that contributed meaningfully to the discussion.

 

The workshop was designed to equip participants with hands-on knowledge and practical tools for conducting self-assessments in accordance with HEC’s Program Review for Effectiveness & Enhancement (PREE) standard.

 

The event concluded with a motivational address by the Vice Chancellor, who lauded the efforts of QEC for organizing this important capacity-building initiative. He underscored the significance of such training sessions in promoting a culture of quality and accountability across the university and encouraged faculty members to implement the acquired insights to further strengthen program effectiveness and institutional excellence.
