Seminar on “Iqbal ka Naujawan” held at UET Lahore
The Literary Society of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore organized a thought-provoking seminar titled “Iqbal ka Naujawan”, focusing on the message of Allama Iqbal for the Muslim youth and their role in nation-building.
The seminar was presided over by Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir (TI) Vice Chancellor UET Lahore.
The distinguished guest speaker was Prof. Dr. Basera Ambreen, Director Institute of Urdu Language and Literature, Punjab University Oriental College Lahore, and former Director, Iqbal Academy Pakistan.
In her address, Prof. Dr. Basera Ambreen highlighted the timeless relevance of Allama Iqbal’s philosophy for today’s youth, emphasizing self-awareness, creativity, and the pursuit of higher ideals. She encouraged students to rediscover Iqbal’s vision and contribute positively to the progress of the Muslim Ummah.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir underscored the importance of Iqbal’s message in shaping the moral and intellectual character of young generations. He urged students to follow Iqbal’s concept of Khudi and become leaders who can bring constructive change to society.
The seminar concluded with an engaging discussion and a vote of thanks to the organizers of the Literary Society, UET Lahore, for their efforts in promoting intellectual and literary activities on campus.
