The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore hosted a special two-day reunion for the Civil Engineering Batch of 1989, marking three decades since their graduation. This memorable event brought together alumni, faculty, and current students to celebrate the legacy of one of UET's most accomplished and distinguished batches. The festivities began on Friday as alumni arrived at the UET Faculty Guest House, where they were warmly welcomed by the Alumni Office.

The day kicked off with a visit to the Civil Engineering Department, allowing alumni to reconnect with faculty and engage with current students, creating a valuable exchange of experiences and insights. After a break for Juma prayers, alumni gathered for a traditional lunch at Quaid-e-Azam Hall Mess, where they enjoyed local delicacies. In the afternoon, they toured the hostels and explored other campus activities, before heading out for a memorable bus trip to Anarkali in the evening.

The day concluded with a lively BBQ dinner at Bhola Canteen’s outdoor area, featuring special appearances by Prof. Faiz Ahmed Chishti and Prof. Zia Udin Mian. On Saturday, the reunion continued with breakfast at Bhola Canteen, followed by a campus exploration and photography session to capture the nostalgic moments. After lunch at Quaid-e-Azam Hall, alumni had the opportunity to meet with UET’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir (TI), to discuss the university’s latest developments and share ideas for its future.

The reunion officially came to a close in the late afternoon, marking the end of a memorable and enriching gathering. This reunion was more than just a celebration of the past—it was an opportunity to reconnect, share stories, and inspire the next generation of UET engineers. Alumni, students, and faculty came together to celebrate their shared bond with the institution and continue the legacy of excellence.
