The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore New Campus, Kala Shah Kaku, hosted its vibrant Annual Sports Gala 2025, Dr. Tanveer Qasim, PRO UET, graced the event as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the Sports Gala. The event saw students competing in various sports including cricket, badminton, football, volleyball, and tug of war, with additional contests in basketball, handball, athletics, and table tennis. In his opening speech, Dr. Tanveer Qasim emphasized the equal importance of extracurricular and curricular activities in educational institutions.

He remarked that participating in sports alongside academics significantly contributes to students' mental and physical development. "Sports not only provide opportunities for recreation but also offer practical training in discipline and teamwork," he said. Dr. Qasim also congratulated Prof. Dr. Shahid Imran, the Campus Coordinator, for successfully organizing the impressive sports event.

He encouraged students to actively engage in extracurricular activities, highlighting their importance in preparing students for success in their professional and personal lives, while promoting a healthy lifestyle. At the end of the event, Dr. Qasim distributed the trophies among winners, celebrating their efforts and achievements.
