The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has officially recognized the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore as a “Responsible University” under the Institutional Governance Review under the Higher Education Development in Pakistan (HEDP) project funded by the World Bank.

 

According to the HEC’s communication, this recognition has been awarded on account of UET Lahore’s responsible exercise of autonomy and overall effective governance. HEC stated that this acknowledgment reflects UET’s efficient and transparent governance practices, which should continue to serve as a benchmark for other higher education institutions across Pakistan.

 

HEC further encouraged UET Lahore to use this recognition as a catalyst for continuous improvement, ensuring sustained excellence in governance, quality assurance, and institutional leadership.

 

This achievement highlights UET Lahore’s commitment to good governance, accountability, and quality education, reaffirming its position among the leading universities of Pakistan.
