On Iqbal Day, Vice Chancellor of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, Professor Engr. Dr. Shahid Munir (Tamgha-i-Imtiaz), visited the mausoleum of Allama Muhammad Iqbal (RA). He offered prayers for the elevation of Iqbal’s status and laid floral tributes, while a ceremonial guard of honor was presented by the Pakistan Navy.

 

Accompanied by faculty, officers, and students, Dr. Munir highlighted Iqbal’s philosophy of Khudi and his call for self-awareness, character-building, and knowledge-driven action. He emphasized that Iqbal’s message remains a guiding light for today’s youth, inspiring them to transform thought into action for the progress of the nation.

 

Dr. Munir also recorded his reflections in the visitors’ book, reaffirming UET Lahore’s commitment to blending academic research, modern technology, and ethical development in line with Iqbal’s vision.
