UET Lahore and Bahria University Signs MoU to Boost Research and Innovations
The University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore and Bahria University, Islamabad have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic and research collaboration. The purpose of this agreement is to foster growth, innovation and knowledge exchange be leveraging the strengths and expertise of both institutions.
The signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding was held at Bahria University Head Office, Islamabad. The ceremony was graced by Professor Dr. Shahid Munir, Vice Chancellor, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore; Vice Admiral (R) Asif Khaliq HI (M), Rector, Bahria University, Dr. Muhammad Waqas, Director (University Advancement and External Linkages), UET, Lahore, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asif Rafiq, Director (ORIC), UET, Lahore and Prof. Dr. Amjad Hussain, Director (Studies), UET, Lahore along with other distinguished participants.
Under the agreement, both institutions will collaborate on cutting-edge research projects in areas of mutual interest, including renewable energy, artificial intelligence, robotics, and maritime studies. The partnership also aims to establish joint research centers and laboratories to address global challenges and promote technological innovation. Furthermore, the collaboration will strengthen institutional linkages with maritime industry stakeholders, government bodies, naval institutions, and private sector organizations.
It will also focus on pursuing joint funding opportunities and grants for research and innovation, while organizing workshops, seminars, and training programs to enhance the skills of students, faculty, and industry professionals. Additionally, both institutions will offer certification programs and short courses in specialized fields.
