The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore and the University of Layyah

formally signed two significant Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) today, on 14th November, 2025, during a ceremony held at the Vice Chancellor’s Office, UET Lahore. The event marks an important step toward fostering strong academic partnerships, research collaboration, and knowledge exchange between the institutions.

The first MoU was signed between UET Lahore and the University of Layyah, while an additional MoU was signed between the Al-Khawarizmi Institute of Computer Science (KICS), UET Lahore, and the University of Layyah. These agreements aim to promote joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchange programs, capacity building, technological cooperation, and the

joint organization of academic activities.

Vice Chancellor UET Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir (TI), and Vice Chancellor University of

Layyah, Prof. Dr. Zubair Abubakar, signed the primary MoU on behalf of their respective

universities. Faculty members and senior officials from both institutions were present to

witness the occasion. Representing KICS-UET Lahore, Mr. Ali Muzaffar signed the second MoU, formalizing enhanced technological and research collaboration between KICS and the University of Layyah.

The ceremony concluded with a mutual commitment to initiate collaborative activities under the newly signed agreements, strengthening ties between UET Lahore and the University of Layyah.
