UET Ranks Among the Top 205 Universities Worldwide in Engineering and Technology
The remarkable progress of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore in global rankings continues. According to the latest QS World University Rankings, UET has reached the 751-760 range this year, compared to the 791-800 range in 2024 and 801-1000 range in 2023. UET Lahore has made significant progress by raising academic standards and strengthening its reputation in the field of engineering and technology, among 1,500 global universities.
UET Lahore has also achieved outstanding success in the QS World University Rankings by Subject. In the field of Engineering and Technology, UET Lahore remains at the top among over 14 universities in Pakistan, securing the 205th position, a remarkable improvement of 31 places from last year’s 236th position. Dr. Shahid Munir, Vice Chancellor of UET, expressed his gratitude to the faculty, administration, and students, stating, "This achievement is the result of the hard work of all UET stakeholders. Our teachers, administrative officers, and students have collectively made this success possible. We will ensure that UET continues on its path of progress." He further added that improving UET’s global ranking next year and achieving a higher position is our top priority.

These developments are certainly positive news for UET Lahore, strengthening its position as a leading institution, not only in Pakistan but also globally. According to the latest QS ranking data, UET has shown significant improvement in its subject-based global ranking compared to 2024. This year, UET is ranked 201-250 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Similarly, it remains in the 251-300 range for Mechanical Engineering and in the 401-450 range for Computer Science and Information Systems, just as last year. UET has also achieved rankings of 451-500 in Mathematics, 551-600 in Business and Management Studies, and 601-675 in Physics and Astronomy, marking its second time receiving rankings in these domains.
