UET Scholars Present Research at International Conference and Participate in Staff Training Program in Ireland
Dr. Nida Iqbal from the Biomedical Engineering Department, alongside Dr. Muhammad Ahsan Naeem and Mr. Muhammad Rzi Abbas from the Mechatronics Department UET Lahore recently represented Pakistan at the 4th International Conference on Key Enabling Technologies at Dublin City University (DCU), Ireland. The scholars showcased their groundbreaking research, contributing valuable insights to the global discussion on technological advancements.
In addition to presenting their research, the team took part in a staff training program at DCU as part of the prestigious BIOMED5.0 project, under the Erasmus+ Programme. BIOMED5.0, a collaborative initiative between Pakistan, Ireland, and Romania, aims to modernize Biomedical Engineering education by integrating cutting-edge Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies into the curriculum.
This project will revolutionize teaching methods by upgrading laboratory facilities and introducing immersive Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) experiences, designed to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
This significant collaboration underscores the commitment of Pakistani scholars to advance global education and research in Biomedical Engineering.
