UET Vice Chancellor Meets with International Students to Address Concerns
The Vice Chancellor University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Dr. Shahid Munir, held a meeting with international students to address their concerns and take appropriate actions to resolve their problems. Pro Vice Chancellor, Deans of various faculties l, International Students Coordinator, Director of Student Affairs, Senior Warden, Resident Tutors, and the Deputy Registrar also attended the meeting. Students from various countries including Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Palestine, and Kenya discussed issues they are facing in their hostels. In his address, Dr. Shahid Munir acknowledged the contribution of international students, calling them a valuable asset to the university. He noted that their presence strengthens UET's international standing. He emphasized the university's commitment to fostering mutual understanding between different nationalities and cultures, and assured that all student issues would be resolved promptly.
The students raised concerns related to their academic, residential, and other basic needs. The Vice Chancellor listened attentively and assured them that the university administration would take immediate steps to address their problems. Dr. Shahid Munir further stated that the welfare and academic development of international students are among the university's top priorities. He stressed that the experience of international students at UET should be positive and enjoyable, and the university would continue to offer full support to them. At the end of meeting, international students expressed hope that under the leadership of Dr. Shahid Munir, the environment at UET would become even more welcoming and supportive, and effective measures would be taken to resolve their issues.
