UET observes “Kashmir Black Day” to express solidarity

The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore observed Kashmir Black Day today to express solidarity with the residents of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) suffering unprecedented atrocities perpetrated by Indian armed forces against them. In this context a solidarity rally was organized in campus lead by Vice Chancellor UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir. The rally started from VC Office and ended at Library Chowk. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof.

Dr. Nasir Hayyat, Registrar Muhammad Asif, Deans of all faculties, Director Student Affairs, Teachers, faculty members, heads of all other departments and a large number of students were also present at this occasion. Participants of the rally raised slogans of freedom. Addressing the rally, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir said, "Our Kashmiris are going through a difficult phase. But now the time is over, and sacrifices of Kashmiri brothers will not go away.

The world must raise voice against brutality of Indians.” He further said, “The sun of freedom will rise in Kashmir soon. We pay tribute to the determination and courage of Kashmiris. Pakistani nation is with its Kashmiri brothers. Until Kashmiris get their freedom, we would continue to stand with them till the last breath.” "The dispute of Kashmir is not a problem of race or ethnicity, it is a joint problem of humanity." He added. At the end special prayers were said for the people of occupied Kashmir.
