The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has declared the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore as Pakistan’s best and model university in terms of good governance. In this regard, HEC has issued an official notification to UET Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), acknowledging the university’s exemplary governance, transparency, and administrative performance.

According to the notification issued by HEC, UET’s policies, financial transparency, and administrative discipline serve as a role model for other universities across the country. The notification further directs all Pakistani universities to adopt UET’s administrative model as a benchmark framework.

The HEC Director described UET as a “model institution,” stating that the university has set a remarkable example of good governance that will provide guidance to other higher education institutions in Pakistan.

The notification also pays tribute to the outstanding leadership of Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir, recognizing that UET’s achievements are the result of effective and visionary leadership. According to the notification, UET has emerged as a model and responsible university, and its administrative framework stands as an example for all higher education institutions nationwide.
