Vice Chancellor University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir convened a meeting with Chairmen and Deans from all departments of UET. The meeting reviewed the plans for the 31st Convocation, its preparations, and the formation of committees.

Discussions also included measures to alleviate UET Lahore's financial crisis, where all deans and chairpersons were directed to present departmental financial reports. The Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir not only committed to restoring the university’s reputation but also shared plans for its development and future strategies. He stated that promoting a research culture, particularly in Artificial Intelligence (AI) is among his top priorities. A new research center will be established, aiming to make the university a hub for AI, and all scientific and technical facilities will be ensured to facilitate significant progress in the field of research

All the deans and chairmen ensured their support with new vice chancellor. They appreciated his vision and suggested more positive steps. Notably, this was Dr. Shahid Munir's first meeting with the educational and administrative heads of UET.
